Apple to call upcoming 5.4-inch iPhone the ‘iPhone 12 mini,’ claims leaker
Reputable leaker “L0vetodream” has shared the alleged naming of this year’s iPhone lineup, suggesting Apple’s rumored 5.4-inch iPhone 12 will be named the “iPhone 12 mini,” which will sit alongside the “iPhone 12,” “iPhone 12 Pro,” and “iPhone 12 Pro Max.”
Rumors point to Apple releasing four new iPhone models next month, with the 5.4-inch “iPhone 12 mini” launching alongside a 6.1-inch “iPhone 12” to replace the current-generation iPhone 11, and a 6.1-inch “iPhone 12 Pro” and larger 6.7-inch “iPhone 12 Pro Max” replacing Apple’s current iPhone 11 Pro/Pro Max.
“L0vetodream” has a good track record in sharing information about Apple’s product pipeline. The leaker cryptically confirmed that the newly announced iPad Air 4 would be available in new color options, as well as confirming the public release date of iOS 14.

Apple confirmed earlier this year that its usual iPhone release schedule would be pushed back, with recent reports suggesting the new hardware will be unveiled during an event in October, which will also see the introduction of AirTags item trackers, new AirPods Studio headphones, and more.
It has previously been suggested that Apple will price the 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch iPhone 12 between $699 – $749 and $799 – $849 respectively, with the 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro/Pro Max from between $1,049 – $1,099 and $1,149 – $1,199.
