Apple Highcross in Leicester, UK reopens following COVID-19 closure
Apple has today reopened its Highcross store in the British city of Leicester, which marks the first time that every Apple Store in the United Kingdom has been open since the country went into lockdown in March amid the global COVID-19 pandemic.
Following months of closures, Apple announced that all 32 Apple Stores in England would reopen in mid-June, although due to a spike in coronavirus cases in the Leicestershire area, weeks later UK health officials imposed new lockdown restrictions on Leicester, forcing Apple to close its store in the Highcross shopping centre.
With restrictions being lifted across the city today, Apple has once again been able to reopen Apple Highcross, with customers able to visit the store as of 10:00am. Upon entry, visitors will be required to undergo temperature checks, wear a face mask while in the store and maintain distance between themselves and those around them.
