iPhone 12 may be $50 higher than iPhone 11 even without EarPods or a charger, suggests analyst
Rumors continue to speculate that Apple will not include either wired headphones or a power adapter in the box of this year’s new iPhone 12, with the money saved on not producing in-box accessories said to be being used on offsetting the cost of 5G networking components to avoid a price hike for customers.
Despite this, a new research note shared by analyst Jeff Pu (via MacRumors) says iPhone 12 pricing will start at $749 for a new 5.4-inch model, an increase of $50 over the base model iPhone 11 for $699.
The price hike will be “accepted by consumers” and “will not affect demand,” according to Pu, adding that he expects the addition of 5G technology and OLED displays across the range being enough for customers to justify the increase over last year’s models.
All four of this year’s new models are expected to offer 5G cellular performance, with this set to be one of the biggest selling points for the new models, alongside an all-new design similar to the squared design of the iPad Pro.
The Apple Post has released exclusive 2020 iPhone renders, offering what we believed to be the most accurate representation of the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.
