Apple set to close more retail stores as COVID-19 cases rise
With Australian city Melbourne reentering lockdown following a rise in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases, Apple is set to close at least four stores in the region, adding to list of Apple Stores that have had to close once again as coronavirus numbers increase.
The state of Victoria will enforce the second lockdown from 11:59 PM on July 8 and it is expected to last at least six weeks.
Apple has confirmed that Apple Chadstone, Apple Southland, Apple Doncaster and Apple Fountain Gate will run reduced hours today prior to the lockdown starting tomorrow, with the four locations joining Apple Highpoint, that was listed as temporarily closed last week.
Other stores around the world that have been forced to close once again include Apple Highcross in England and 80 stores in the UK, including in Florida, Mississippi, Texas, and Utah.
