iPhone 12 to offer 240fps 4K video, claims report
Apple could add 240fps 4K video to the “iPhone 12”, according to YouTube channel EverythingApplePro.
Likely referencing Apple’s rumored high-end 6.7-inch “iPhone 12 Pro Max”, a new video claims Apple will use a 7-piece plastic lens to allow users to capture 4K video at 120fps and 240fps, up from 1080p HD at 120fps and 240fps on the current iPhone 11 Pro Max.
Collaborating with leaker Max Weinbach, the duo claim to have found references to the upcoming 4K video recording in the recently release developer build of iOS 14, with Apple said to be internally testing the new features now ahead of releasing them on the iPhone 12 with iOS 14.
Improving the video recording capabilities on the new device would signal a huge upgrade for iPhone users. The iPhone would offer a considerable increase from current frame rates and enable the slo-mo function to operate at higher resolutions.
The Apple Post has released exclusive 2020 iPhone renders, offering what we believed to be the most accurate representation of the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.
