Apple bringing revamped Apple Maps app to UK, Ireland, and Canada later this year
Apple has confirmed that it will bring its revamped Apple Maps app to users in the UK, Ireland and Canada later this year, following the completed rollout of the service in the United States in January.
Announced today alongside the unveiling of iOS 14, iPadOS 14, watchOS 7, tvOS 14 and macOS 11 Big Sur, Apple committed to bringing its all-new Maps interface featuring richer landscape details such as roads, parking lots, parks, buildings, airports, and more over the next six months.
Apple Maps vehicles have been spotted scouring the UK, Ireland and Canada for over a year, collecting information for the new Maps experience.
An official release date for the new Apple Maps app wasn’t shared, but it will likely coincide with when Apple launches its next generation operating systems to users publicly in fall.
