Every year, it is custom that along with the brand new updates and announcements that WWDC has to bring to the developer community, it also comes with new jackets and merchandise including pins and more.
This year, even though due to COVID-19 it is being held virtually for the very first time, new jackets and pins are still making an appearance despite the platform change. 350 students won the Swift Student Challenge, and as a reward they will be receiving these new merchandise exclusively. This includes new jacket for 2020 and pins to match, carrying on the sticker theme that the marketing materials have been showcasing. The pattern on the jacket is an emoji plaid and the zipper has the word ‘WWDC20’ on it.
WWDC20 will be hosted for a week starting on June 22nd at 10am PT. Kicking off like always with the big keynote, which is set to announce the future of iOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS. Also set to take the stage is the rumoured new iMac redesign which would see the chin thrown out and adopt the iPad Pro 2018 design aesthetic. This week, Apple has already released some new products, with the Developer app being released on the Mac for the first time.
