Apple selling refurbished iPhone XR models from $499
Apple has added the iPhone XR to its official Certified Refurbished online store for customers in the United States, offering up to $120 off the cost of the device compared to the models if they were sold brand-new.
Black, white, blue, yellow, red, and coral versions of the iPhone XR are available in both 64GB and 128GB storage configurations, priced at $499 and $539 respectively. Additionally, Apple is selling the top-spec 256GB version of the device for $629 but at this time the only color available in this configuration is black.
When the iPhone XR launched in 2018, it was priced from $749 for the entry-level 64GB model. Since then, the device in the same storage configuration was dropped to $599, with today’s update seeing the price cut by an additional $100.
As with all refurbished products sold directly through Apple, the devices come with the company’s standard 1-year warranty.
Apple notes that all refurbished iPhone models sold through their Refurbished Store are thoroughly inspected, tested, cleaned, and repackaged with a new white box and all manuals and accessories. Before reselling, Apple installs a new battery and replaces the outer shell, making the device look brand-new.
