Apple releases new Pride Edition Apple Watch bands
Apple has released two new Pride Edition Sport Bands for Apple Watch, including a special Apple Watch Nike Pride Edition Sport Band and a distinctive vertical-stripe rainbow strap, both of which will be available to order online today.
The release of the new Apple Watch bands follows after watchOS 6.2.5 developer beta 5 gave us our first glimpse at Apple’s new 2020 Pride Apple Watch faces, in the form of customization options for the existing Pride Digital, Pride Analog, and Gradient faces.
Announced within a press release today, Apple says the new matching watch faces will be “coming soon”.
This year’s artfully unique Pride Edition Sport Band is joined for the first time by the new Apple Watch Nike Pride Edition Sport Band. Both are available today from apple.com, the Apple Store app, and Apple stores, and pair beautifully with new matching Pride Watch faces that are coming soon as a part of watchOS 6.2.5.
Apple started its trend of releasing Pride Edition Apple Watch bands in 2018, with 2019 seeing the launch of a double-layer nylon weave strap that saw a portion of the proceeds shared with LGBTQ advocacy organisations.
Pricing for the new accessories is yet to be confirmed.
