Apple Card deferred payment program extending into May
Apple is again extending its Apple Card deferred payment program, giving the option for May payments to be deferred without incurring any interest charges, according to 9to5Mac.
The rapid spread of the novel coronavirus has left many without work or with reduced income. To help ease the financial difficulties many Americans are facing, Apple announced a new program in March that enabled customers to enrol in a scheme run by Apple and Goldman Sachs which offers more flexibility when it comes to making repayments.
Apple is said to have emailed customers already enrolled in the program today to inform them of the extension.
To apply for the relief, customers need to opt in to the deferred payment program by messaging an Apple Card support representative through the Wallet app on an iPhone or iPad.
