Apple Music now available on Samsung smart TVs
Samsung has announced that starting today, a new Apple Music app will be available for Samsung smart TVs. The app, which is designed similar to the Apple Music app for Apple TV, can be downloaded on all Samsung smart TVs from 2018.
The app provides access to all of Apple Music’s features, including For You playlists, videos, streaming radio such as Beats 1, and much more. Users can sign in with their existing Apple ID, or choose to “begin the subscription process” from the TV itself.
Salek Brodsky, vice president of strategic partnerships and business development for Samsung Electronics, said “Our goal has always been to deliver the best entertainment experiences to consumers — and as people spend more time at home, we are more committed to that mission than ever,”
Last year, we were the first TV manufacturer to offer the Apple TV app, and today, we are the first to offer Apple Music. Our partnership with Apple has been instrumental in bringing consumers an unparalleled lineup of different entertainment options, especially as they seek out more content choices from their Smart TVs.
Today’s release follows after Apple officially launched an online Apple Music web app last week, which for the first time allows subscribers to browse the full Apple Music library, listen to songs from playlists, search for tracks, and more through a browser.
