Apple to release 23-inch iMac in second half of 2020
Apple will allegedly release a new 23-inch iMac and ‘low-cost’ 11-inch iPad Air during the second half of 2020, according to a report from The China Times, via Macotakara.
The report suggests Apple will alter its iMac line-up, which currently consists of 21.5-inch and 27-inch variants of the machine, likely by introducing the 23-inch display as a replacement for the current 21.5-inch iMac which was last updated in March 2019.
While the report doesn’t offer much information on the new ‘low-cost’ 11-inch iPad Air, the source claims mass production for the iPad will ramp up in the third quarter of 2020, likely so that Apple can begin selling the new device in time for the lucrative holiday shopping season.
Today’s report follows after an anonymous “leaker” claimed Apple is developing a new iPad Air with under-the-screen Touch ID which could launch during late 2020/early 2021.
