Apple Card customers allowed to defer April payments without interest
Apple announced last month that it was giving the opportunity for Apple Card customers to defer their March payments without incurring interest fees. Now, Apple is expanding the program into April, again offering the ability to skip this month’s payment without interest charges.
The rapid spread of the novel coronavirus has left many without work or with reduced income. The scheme run by Apple and Goldman Sachs offers customers some flexibility when it comes to making repayments, a helping hand in a time when many are struggling.
To apply for the relief, customers need to opt in to the deferred payment program by messaging an Apple Card support representative through the Wallet app on an iPhone or iPad. Apple is informing Apple Card owners about the option through email.
We understand that the rapidly-evolving COVID-19 situation poses unique challenges for everyone and some customers may have difficulty making their monthly payments.
