Apple promoting NHS app in the UK with official coronavirus information
Apple is promoting the official NHS app in the App Store to help share official coronavirus information from the National Health Service in the UK.
Featured on the App Store’s “Today” tab, a PSA from Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty reminds citizens to only leave their home when absolutely necessary, to always keep at least two metres apart from others and not to meet with friends or family who don’t live in the same household.
Upon opening the NHS app, a symptom-checker is available as well as advice from health experts that offers information for the general population, people at high-risk, symptoms and what to do, self-isolation advice, and more.
Apple CEO Tim Cook announced yesterday that the company has sourced more than 10 million N95 masks to be donated to the medical community amid the continued spread of the coronavirus across Europe and the United States.
