Tim Cook says Apple donating 10 million face masks to medical community
Tim Cook has revealed in a video shared to Twitter that Apple has sourced more than 10 million N95 masks to be donated to the medical community amid the continued spread of the coronavirus across Europe and the United States.
Cook says he is working from home, and during the video he reenforces advice given by medical experts that people should stay at home whenever possible, and when not possible, make sure they are placing 6 feet of distance between themselves and anyone else around them.
In the video, which can be watched in full below, Cook thanks the medical community and those who continue to work during this time, from the warehouse workers to the delivery people to the people who are stocking the shelves at our local supermarkets and pharmacies.
Proud to share we’ve been able to source 10M masks for the US and millions more for the hardest hit regions in Europe. Our ops teams are helping to find and purchase masks from our supply chain in coordination with governments around the world. pic.twitter.com/uTsA6eA5ks
