Apple readying another new iPad Pro to launch in late 2020
Apple has released its long-rumored update to the iPad Pro, featuring an iPhone 11-style rear camera system with LiDAR, a new Apple-designed A12Z processor with improved internals and an optional new Magic Keyboard with built-in trackpad.
According to supply chain sources, Apple is readying yet another updated iPad Pro to launch later this year, this time featuring mini-LED technology, which allows for thinner and lighter product designs, while offering many of the same benefits of OLED displays, claims DigiTimes.
The report follows after leading analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed late last year that Apple is working on new high-end iPad and MacBook models set to launch in late 2020.
Apple reportedly prefers mini LED to OLED for its medium-size devices and will launch an iPad Pro with backlighting in the fourth quarter of 2020.
It is believed Apple has six mini-LED products in development, including the aforementioned 12.9-inch iPad Pro, a 27-inch iMac Pro, a 14.1-inch MacBook Pro, a 16-inch MacBook Pro, a 10.2.-inch iPad, and a 7.9-inch iPad mini, all of which will arrive between late 2020 and early 2021.
