Apple releasing iOS 13.4 on March 24
Apple has confirmed it will release iOS 13.4 on March 24.
The announcement comes alongside the release of an updated MacBook Air with double the performance of the previous machine, and a new iPad Pro featuring a new Apple-designed A12Z processor, a rear camera array with LiDAR, an optional new Magic Keyboard with built-in trackpad, and more.
The release will include 9 new Memoji sticker types, iCloud Drive folder sharing support, updates to the Mail toolbar, and more.
Everything new with iOS 13.4:
- iCloud Folder Sharing
- 9 new Memoji stickers
- CarKey API
- Minor tweaks to TV app
- Updated Location/Privacy prompt
- Combined iOS and Mac purchases
Apple announced last year that iCloud Folder Sharing, a hot new feature introduced alongside macOS Catalina, would be delayed until 2020 after beta testers reported data loss and bugs with the system.
With the release of iOS 13.4, Apple is introducing a new universal purchase feature to developers, giving the ability to bundle iOS apps, tvOS apps, and Mac apps together for one purchase price.
The updated toolbar in Mail is a welcomed new addition after iOS 13 introduced a simplified UI which made it easy to inadvertently trash mail.
iPadOS 13.4 will also be released on March 24, adding support for the iPad Pro’s new Magic Keyboard.
