Apple keeping retail stores closed ‘until further notice’
Apple is keeping its retail stores closed ‘until further notice’, according to a banner on Apple.com.
Last week it was confirmed that the company was closing all of its 464 Apple Stores outside of Greater China until March 27 as a coronavirus precaution.
Since the announcement, Apple has displayed a banner on its webpage in the US advising of the retail closures, but today’s update, spotted by 9to5Mac, removes any mentioning of a set reopening date, suggesting the company is preparing itself for the likelihood that its stores will remain closes for much longer than previously stated.
Apple is yet to comment on the situation in light of today’s update.
Notably, the banner currently only appears on Apple’s U.S. website.
