Apple releasing new iPad Pro Smart Keyboard with Trackpad in 2020, claims report
Apple will release a new Smart Keyboard later this year with a built-in trackpad, reports The Information, citing sources familiar with the plans.
Expected to launch alongside the release of the rumored new 5G iPad Pro withrear triple-lens camera system later this year, Apple is said to now be “preparing the keyboard for mass production.”, with Foxconn set to be one of the “main manufacturers” of the new Smart Keyboard which will be “made of materials similar” to the current version of the accessory.
The Information say the Smart Keyboard with Trackpad is part of Apple’s effort to position the iPad as an alternative to laptop computers.

The company will likely release the accessory alongside the next version of the iPad Pro expected later this year, the person added.
The news follows after earlier claims that Apple may soon release a new backlit Smart Keyboard for the iPad with a scissor switch design.
We expect to see Apple’s new iPad Pro launch in October while smaller updates to the entry-level iPad may arrive as soon as March.
