Case makers release ‘iPhone SE 2’ accessories ahead of low-cost iPhone launch
Apple’s much-rumored low-cost iPhone is expected to be announced next month. Numerous reports have claimed to offer details surrounding the design of the device, but one element remains unknown: the name.
Whilst some believe the device will be called the “iPhone 9”, some accessory makers are jumping the gun by releasing new “iPhone SE 2” accessories which are available to pre-order online now.
The low-cost iPhone model is believed to be a successor to the original iPhone SE which launched 3 years ago, this time featuring a larger 4.7-inch display with a design nearly identical to the iPhone 8, with analysts predicting the device will be priced from $399, making it Apple’s most affordable iPhone in years.
Californian case maker Totallee has opened pre-orders for its new ultra-thin “iPhone SE 2” cases, sending emails to customers promoting the new accessories with the tagline “The iPhone SE 2 is coming in March. But you can pre-order our cases today.”
Similar cases can also be found on Amazon using the “iPhone SE 2” name.
Last week, South Korea’s largest telecom company Korea Telecom launched a new advertising campaign at its stores promoting the launch of the “iPhone 9”.
