iOS 13 installed on 77% of iPhone models released in the last four years
Apple has revealed that 77% of iPhone models released in the last four years are now running a version of iOS 13, ever so slightly behind iOS 12 in the same period last year when the figures showed the software was on 78% of recently released devices.
79% of iPad owners with models released in the last four years have installed iPadOS, with 12% still using iOS 12 and the remaining 2% using iOS 11 or below.
As a whole, 70% of all active iOS devices are running iOS 13. Within its Q1 2020 earnings results today, Apple shared that it has 1.4 billion active devices in use around the world, with 900 million of those devices being iPhone.
Apple last shared iOS 13 install data October, revealing at the time that 50% of all iPhone models were running a version of iOS 13, with 33% of iPads running iPadOS.
The statistics are based on devices that connect to the App Store, and doesn’t include devices that download the latest software but never come online, or devices that aren’t connected to an Apple ID.
