Apple commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day with full-page tribute on Apple.com
Apple has updated its homepage to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., sharing a full-page tribute from the American civil rights movement leader.
Decorating Apple.com to honour Martin Luther King Jr. Day each year has become somewhat of a tradition at Apple, with Tim Cook taking to Twitter this morning to share a quote promoting education, culture and prosperity.
Although it’s unclear if plans have been put in place this year, in years past Apple has given their employees a day off for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, with the company previously offering special gift-matching promotions, donating $50 for every voluntary hour worked by its employees.
"I have the audacity to believe that peoples everywhere can have three meals a day for their bodies, education and culture for their minds, and dignity, equality and freedom for their spirits.” Let us all be so audacious, and work to make MLK’s dream a reality for us all.
