iPhone 12 to feature ‘refreshed’ Face ID, claims analyst
Apple will introduce a ‘refreshed’ Face ID in this year’s iPhone 12, according to Barclays analysts Blayne Curtis, Thomas O’Malley, and Baylie Harri.
Within a research note shared today, the analysts claim that as rumored, Apple’s high-end iPhone 12 Pro models will feature 3D sensing rear camera setups with time-of-flight (ToF) camera lenses, 6GB of RAM, up from 4GB in the iPhone 11 Pro models and a ‘refreshed’ Face ID system, although no details were shared regarding the alleged Face ID changes.
The note backs up many previous predictions from Ming-Chi Kuo, suggesting that Apple may completely remove the Lightning connector next year from at least one 2021 iPhone model, something we first heard about last month.
