Apple accepting donations to aid Australian bushfire relief efforts
Apple is accepting donations to aid Australian bushfire relief efforts, inviting users to donate to the Red Cross through the iTunes and the App Store with the payment method associated with their Apple ID.
Donations made in the US will go to the American Red Cross which is providing relief efforts in response to the Australian bushfires, and in Australia donations will be sent directly to the Australian Red Cross, with 100% of the donations going to their receptive charities.
Alongside donations through the iTunes and the App Store, Apple has added banners to the home screen of Apple.com and its Australian web page which also give the option to support the Red Cross.
Our hearts are with those impacted by the Australian bushfires and with the courageous volunteer force fighting the unprecedented blazes across the country—please stay safe. Apple will be donating to support relief efforts.
