Apple releases HomePod software update
Apple has released iOS 13.3, and alongside the release Apple has also rolled out an update for HomePod, with some bug fixes and performance improvements that enhance the features introduced with earlier software updates.
Today’s update improves the ability of HomePod to recognize the voice profile of family members, it allows individual family members to enable or disable personal requests, and it fixes an issue that could prevent music playback from resuming on a stereo pair following a call.
The new update will automatically be installed on HomePod speakers once users upgrade to iOS 13.3
Apple gives the option to manually update by opening the Home app on a device paired with the HomePod, tapping on the home icon in the upper left corner of the display, opening “Home Settings” and by selecting “Software Update.”
