Apple launches new ‘Apple Music for Business’, offering licensed music for retail stores
Apple has launched a new Apple Music for Business program in a partnership with PlayNetwork to allow businesses to play licensed music and access custom recommended playlists, created to the suit individual store brand.
Music can be controlled using the new Music for Business app on iPhone and iPad.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Apple has been piloting the program for some time, with the launch of the service today marking an expansion targeting large stores and commercial premises, with Harrods department store beginning using the service earlier this month.
Harrods will earn an affiliate commission for each time a customer signs up to a free trial of Apple Music after scanning a QR code on new in-store billboards.
