Apple rebrands WWDC app to ‘Apple Developer App’
This week so far has been a big week for developers. Yesterday, Apple announced an out-of-season special event, dedicated to developers named “Loved by millions. Created by the best.” shortly after the release of iOS and iPadOS 13.2.3.
Now, Apple has released a new ‘Apple Developer App’ that replaces the previous WWDC app, featuring a new icon and a slightly adjusted user interface. Users of the previous app will be pleased to know that all the previous developer conference content is still available, including Keynotes, insights, and more.
The homepage is a new addition, with developer centric announcements, such as changes to frameworks and posts within different topics such as design and more.
The app, like the vast majority of Apple apps, supports both Dark and Light mode. Lastly, you can also enrol as a developer within the app, something not possible in the WWDC app it replaces. This could show that Apple is pushing people to try it out and develop apps for the ecosystem.
The app is free and available to download now from the App Store.
