Apple Watch Series 6 to feature faster performance and improved water resistance
TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has shared his predictions for next year’s Apple Watch Series 6, suggesting the 2020 Apple Watch will feature faster performance and improved water resistance.
Shared within a research note, Kuo claims the new Apple Watch model will offer improved wireless transmission for potentially faster Wi-Fi and cellular speeds, with Apple switching to liquid crystal polymer or LCP material for the flexible circuit boards.
Although Kuo doesn’t touch upon displays within his report, many believe the Apple Watch Series 6 will see Apple shift from OLED to a microLED display. Leaks have shown Apple is working on a new sleep tracking feature for Apple Watch, and a bigger battery will likely be included in the wearable to help power this new tool.
Apple will likely debut the Apple Watch Series 6 next September alongside its line of next-generation iPhone 12 models.
