October’s Top Picks: Our top three favorite apps
As we near the end of October, here are our top three favorite apps we recommend you check out, from photo editing to zero gravity space-age motorbike racing.
In our inaugural top three favorite apps pick, there was no hesitation about adding Pixelmator to the list. Awarded an App Store Editor’s Choice award, Pixelmator is a must-have app that offers professional image editing tools that even a novice editor can master.
Pixelmator for iOS gives you everything you need to create, edit, and enhance images on the go. Tools allow you to wipe away image imperfections, skin blemishes, and unwanted objects, and with just a tap you can use color correction presets as well as adding filters to blur, sharpen, lighten, or darken areas of an image.
Whether you’re an amateur mobile photographer or a seasoned professional, Pixelmator offers everything you need to make your images picture perfect.
Gravity Rider Zero
Gravity Rider Zero by Vivid Games S.A. was recently named App Store “Game Of The Day”. Your main goal is to keep your bike on the track and your rider out of danger as you travel through the space-age circuits and their many hazards.
The further you progress through the game the more elaborate the tracks become. From tight turns and jumps to rocks and gravity wells, this game will surely keep you busy and playing for hours to come.
Created by WWDC scholarship winner AlexanderMacLeod, ByTrain is the ultimate travel companion. The free-to-use app makes boarding, tracking and accessing everything about journeys easier than ever before, giving you access to the information you need, when you need it.
The Apple Post highlighted ByTrain earlier in the year and crowned it the must-have app for UK rail passengers. The app allows you too view the Departures and Arrivals boards for any desired station, see real-time disruption information relating to train operators and stations, as well as the ability to track your train as it travels through its route – super helpful for showing how long is left of your journey and what station you’ll be calling at next.
As a regular rail commuter I rely on ByTrain to keep me moving. The ability to check live departures, the whereabouts of my train and the easy access to apply for delay repay compensation is invaluable. Without a shadow of a doubt, my daily commute would be a lot more stressful without this must-have travel companion.
