Apple releases new Beats Solo Pro headphones with noise cancelation, fold-to-power, and more
Apple has introduced new Beats Solo Pro headphones, featuring Pure ANC noise cancelling technology, “Hey Siri” support, the ability to unfold the headphones to power them on, and more.
Today’s update marks the first major redesign to the Solo on-ear headphones since Apple acquired Beats in 2014. The new Beats Solo Pro headphones include active noise cancellation alongside features like ‘Hey Siri’, auto-power, and more. Solo Pro is also the first Beats headphone to introduce a new ambient noise feature called Transparency.
Similar to iPhones, BeatsX, and Powerbeats Pro, the headphones recharge using an included Lightning cable, with a 10 minute charge providing up to 3 hours of playback.
Apple touts that the new Beats will offer up to 22 hours of audio playback when using active noise cancellation or Transparency. Turning off the features boosts the expected battery life up to 40 hours of playback.
The new Beats Solo Pro headphones are available to pre-order now in the United States for $299.00, with the official release slated for October 30. The headphones are available in black, ivory, and gray as well as matte finishes of dark blue, light blue, and red.
