Apple reportedly prototyped new 6.7-inch iPhone without a notch, featuring Face ID embedded into bezel
Apple has reportedly prototyped an all-new 6.7-inch iPhone featuring Face ID embedded into the upper bezel, according to respected leaker and concept creator Ben Geskin.
Shared within a tweet on Thursday, Geskin shows a new concept that visualizes how his sources claim next year’s iPhone will integrate Apple’s TrueDepth camera system neatly into the top bezel of the device, giving the iPhone an uninterrupted display and an even bezel thickness all-around.
Earlier this week, industry leading analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggested Apple’s next-generation iPhone line could comprise of models featuring an iPhone 4-like metal frame, with previous reports by the acclaimed source backing up the alleged new 6.7-inch display.
Apple has been rumored to be considering an iPhone with both Face ID and an under-screen Touch ID fingerprint scanner, with sources suggesting although the technology was originally planned to launch in 2020, it may be delayed until 2021.
