Apple allegedly facing production issues with new Midnight Green iPhone 11 Pro
Reliable industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has claimed Apple is facing production issues with the glass for the new Midnight Green iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, warning that constraints in production may lead to limited availability at launch.
Upping his initial 2019 iPhone shipping estimates from 65-70 million to 70-75 million units, Kuo has shared that he predicts the new green and purple iPhone 11 and Midnight Green iPhone 11 Pro/Pro Max are proving to be the most popular out of all the colors available in this year’s iPhone lineup, adding that the more affordable iPhone 11 is likely to prove popular with the Chinese market.
Kuo doesn’t specifically mention what is causing the production issues with the Midnight Green glass for the iPhone 11 Pro/Pro Max, although it will likely be delays producing the required quantities of glass or issues maintaining a constant color throughout the Midnight Green line.
Apple began accepting pre-orders for the new iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max last week, with the first wave of customers who managed to secure a launch day delivery slot or in-store pick-up receiving their devices on Friday, September 20.
