@Apple begins tweeting special ‘By innovation only’ event reminders
Following recent tradition, the official @Apple handle on Twitter is tweeting interactive reminders ahead of the highly-anticipated ‘By innovation only’ event at Apple Park on Tuesday, September 10th.
The event, which will take place at 10 am PT/1 pm ET, is expected to see Apple unveil the iPhone 11, alongside sharing an official release date for iOS 13, and more.
When a user presses to Favorite the tweet, they will receive a personalized reply from the @Apple handle to inform them that Apple will send a tweet before the event starts (usually 10 minutes prior) with a link to watch the event live on Apple.com.
Apple has been using ‘Dark Tweets such as this ahead of events since the launch of the iPhone 7 in 2016. The tweets don’t appear on Apple’s timeline, and don’t show in search results. Apple was the first brand to partner with Twitter for these special pre-event Tweets, but since then other large brands have taken advantage of the tool which remains unavailable to general Twitter advertisers.
@TheApplePost, thanks. Stay tuned. We'll send a reminder before the #AppleEvent on 10 September at 6 pm.
