iPhone case maker claims Apple will release ‘iPhone 11’, ‘iPhone 11 Pro’ and ‘iPhone 11 Pro Max’
A “leaked” stock list from iPhone case manufacturer ESR has revealed the accessory maker’s range of products for Apple’s next-generation line of iPhone hardware, with the company referring to the new devices as the ‘iPhone 11’, ‘iPhone 11 Pro’ and ‘iPhone 11 Pro Max’.
Third-party case manufacturers often receive information from sources close to Apple’s supply chain prior to the launch of new hardware to allow them to prepare accessories for products prior to their official public unveiling, allowing them to be one-step-ahead and produce cases which are ready to go on sale as soon as the new iPhone models are announced.
As spotted by iPhonesoft.fr, ESR is allegedly naming Apple’s 6.1-inch iPhone XR successor the ‘iPhone 11’, with the ‘iPhone 11 Pro’ being the 5.8-inch iPhone XS replacement, and the ‘iPhone 11 Pro Max’ being the 6.5-inch iPhone XS Max predecessor.
The legitimacy of the naming is unknown, and it isn’t uncommon for brands to intentionally leak bogus news prior to the launch of new iPhone models to build up some free publicity, so it is worth taking this with a pinch of salt.
Last week, reliable Twitter-based leaker claimed Apple would name the three new 2019 iPhone models ‘iPhone’, ‘iPhone 11’ and ‘iPhone 11 Pro’.
