Apple says 88% of all iPhone, iPad and iPod touch models are now running iOS 12
As the release of iOS 13 nears, Apple has announced that 88% of all iPhone, iPad and iPod touch models are now running iOS 12.
Additionally, Apple claims out of the devices released in the last four years, 90% are running iOS 12.
This will likely be the last time Apple shares iOS 12 adoption statistics ahead of the release of iOS 13. The statistics shared today are based on devices that connect to the App Store, and doesn’t include devices that download the latest software but never come online, or devices that aren’t connected to an Apple ID.
The data reveals 88% of customers are running iOS 12, 7% are running iOS 11 and 5% are devices which are running iOS 10 or below, likely due to the fact the devices aren’t compatible with iOS 11 or later.
Apple last updated its iOS adoption statistics in May, at the time saying 85% of all devices were using iOS 12, showing a 3 percent increase from May to August.
