Apple begins sending Apple Card Preview program invitation emails to registered subscribers
Apple is beginning the launch of Apple Card in the United States, sending emails to small numbers of users who registered their interest in the service online through an email sign up form on Apple.com, with Apple sharing a link which invites subscribers to apply for Apple Card straight from an iPhone using the Wallet app.
At this time, Apple Card is invite-only, with a new webpage – wallet.apple.com – going live which takes visitors to a page headlined “You’re almost there,” complete with the Apple Card logo in the navigation bar and an image of the Wallet app’s Apple Card interface on an iPhone display.
Before users who receive the invite can sign up for Apple Card, Apple says they must meet the following:
- You are a US citizen or lawful resident at least 18 years of age or older.
- Make sure you’re on the latest version of iOS.
- Applying for Apple Card requires an iPhone that can use Apple Pay.
Additionally, Apple has shared a new video on its Wallet subdomain demonstrating how to apply for Apple Card.
