Apple to launch 16-inch MacBook Pro with narrow bezels in September, according to DigiTimes
Apple will unveil its rumored new 16-inch MacBook Pro in September, according to a new report from DigiTimes which claims the notebook will feature an “ultra-narrow bezel” design.
The new 16-inch MacBook, which could be priced as high as $3,000, is said to have a resolution of 3,072×1,920 pixels, and thanks to the reduced-sized bezels, the overall size of the machine will likely match that of the current 15-inch model which it will replace.
Reports suggest Apple will include a scissor mechanism keyboard, as the company begins to transition away from its problem-prone butterfly mechanism keyboard design.
Analysts and insider sources seem to all have a different opinion as to when the new machine will launch. Some, such as DigiTimes claim the 16-inch MacBook Pro will be unveiled in September, possibly alongside the release of the new Mac Pro which is also expected to launch in September, and others claim the new Mac, alongside an updated MacBook Air will debut in October.
LG Display is expected to be the sole supplier of LCD panels for the all-new model.
