Apple Card expected to launch in first half of August
Apple is expected to launch Apple Card during the first half of August. with users able to sign up to the service through the Wallet app on iOS.
According to a new report shared by Bloomberg, the launch is on schedule following initial doubt that the service would meet the summer launch time frame that was promised when Apple Card was announced in March, mainly due to issues with the underlying Goldman Sachs technology that manages transaction data and information for monthly statements.
Despite the mentioning of initial concerns with the implementation of the Goldman Sachs technology, the two partners appear to have been able to work together to resolve any issue during the private employee beta testing period.
The Apple Card is targeted to launch as early as the first half of August. That timing means the project is on schedule for the summer release date that Apple first announced in March.
According to the report, iPhone users will be able to sign up for the card in the Wallet app, which has built-in Apple Card support as part of the latest iOS 12.4 update.
