O2 now offering Apple Watch cellular contracts in the UK
O2, the second-largest mobile network operator in the United Kingdom, is now offering Apple Watch cellular contracts to customers within the country, allowing owners of the LTE-enabled Apple Watch Series 3 and Apple Watch Series 4 to make calls and use data when untethered from their iPhone.
The carrier has introduced a range of plans, offering customers six months of free airtime if they sign up to a plan between now and Wednesday, December 18, 2019.
O2 is offering the Apple Watch Series 4 on a £14.50 Device Plan for 36 months with a £0 monthly rolling Airtime Plan (for the first 6 months only, then £5+ RPI), with £20 upfront, and the Apple Watch Series 3 on a £9.99 Device Plan for 36 months with a £0 monthly rolling Airtime Plan (for the first 6 months only, then £5+ RPI), with £20 upfront.
Apple Watch cellular contracts have been available with rival networks EE and Vodafone since the launch of the Apple Watch Series 3. The addition of O2 means Three is now the only carrier yet to offer Apple Watch cellular contracts in the country.
Apple Watch must be paired with an iPhone 6 or newer with an O2 pay monthly airtime tariff.
