Apple to open Taiwan’s second Apple Store on June 15th
Apple has confirm that its second store in Taiwan will open to customers on June 15th at 10:00 A.M. local time.
The store is set to open in the Xinyi district of Taipei, within 15 minutes’ walking distance of Apple’s first Taiwanese retail location at the Taipei 101 mall within the iconic skyscraper previously known as the Taipei World Financial Centre.
Branded construction hoarding is keeping the final design of the store under-wraps, but aerial shots revealed how the store will feature a large MacBook-style roof, similar to that found at Apple’s flagship Michigan Avenue store in Chicago, in addition to likely using curved seamless floor-to-ceiling glass walls, with the possibility of a basement-floor.
Deirdre O’ Brien, Apple’s newly appointed head of retail, has posted a video on Instagram with an animation and an official opening date, with a teaser video being shared on Apple’s new webpage for the store, where you can also download an official wallpaper to celebrate the store’s arrival.
