Apple to continue offering iTunes for Windows
Despite the fact iTunes is being sunsetted by Apple by being split it into three individual apps: Music, Podcasts, and TV on the Mac, the company has confirmed the app will remain available to Windows users without any changes.
The news was shared to Ars Technica on Tuesday, though Apple didn’t confirm whether iTunes for Windows will continue to receive updates when new features become available within the Music, Podcasts, and TV apps on Mac.
iTunes will be removed from the Mac as of macOS Catalina later this year. All device syncing options will be moved to the Finder sidebar, and content once stored in iTunes will automatically be shared to the relevant new macOS apps.
