Apple releases new Pride band for Apple Watch, priced at $49
Apple has released a new special Pride edition Apple Watch band to match the newly introduced Pride watch faces found within watchOS 5.2.1, designed for Apple Watch Series 4 and compatible with all previous Apple Watch models.
Available now on Apple.com, a portion of the proceeds from Pride Edition strap sales are being shared with LGBTQ advocacy organisations “working to bring about positive change”, including GLSEN, PFLAG, The Trevor Project, Gender Spectrum, The National Center for Transgender Equality and Encircle in the US, and ILGA internationally.
The bands are priced at $49/£49, available in both 40mm and 44mm versions.
Soft, breathable and lightweight, the Sport Loop features a hook-and-loop fastener for quick and easy adjustment. The double-layer nylon weave has dense loops on the skin side that provide soft cushioning while allowing moisture to escape. On the reverse side, the attachment loops are securely anchored for superior durability.
In addition to the Pride Edition straps, Apple has also released new summer colors.
