Apple releases iOS 12.3.1 with iMessage and VoLTE bug fixes
Apple has released iOS 12.3.1 for iPhone and iPad, fixing a bug that could prevent making or receiving VoLTE calls and addresses issues in Messages that prevent the Report Junk link from appearing in Messages threads from unknown senders, and more.
The update comes around two weeks after Apple released iOS 12.3, rolling out support for its redesigned TV app, adding support for AirPlay 2-enabled TVs, and bringing a range of bug fixes and system improvements for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
Apple’s official release notes for iOS 12.3.1 says the update addresses three main bugs:
- Fixes an issue that could prevent making or receiving VoLTE calls
- Fixes issues in Messages that could cause messages from unknown senders to appear in your conversation list even though Filter Unknown Senders is enabled
- Fixes an issue that could prevent the Report Junk link from appearing in Messages threads from unknown senders
