‘iPhone XI’ and ‘iPhone XI Max’ to be slightly thicker than current-generation iPhone XS
CAD renders from Indian blog CashKaro in collaboration with OnLeaks give us a glimpse of what to expect from Apple’s “iPhone XI” and “iPhone XI Max,” providing a side-by-side comparison compared against the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max.
Following earlier reports of the iPhone XI arriving with a new back glass design, CashKaro is back with some alleged further details surrounding the two flagship 2019 iPhone devices. According to the source, the iPhone XI and iPhone XI Max will both be thicker than the current iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, with both new handsets expected to stick with the same 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch OLED displays as with the current models, but the thickness of each device is said to increase to 8.1mm and 7.8mm respectively.
The source claims the devices will come with the rumored square triple-lens rear camera system in a triangular arrangement, with the rear panel of each device said to be before out of one color-matched single piece of glass.
The new iPhone XI and iPhone XI Max are both expected to feature a new circular-shaped mute switch, which will also operate up and down, compared to left and right on the current iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR.
Previous reports from the Indian source claims Apple will keep the Lightning connector on the iPhone for another year, despite claims from others who suggest Apple will move to USB-C, much like the latest iPad Pro.
