iPhone XI to feature new back glass design, mute switch, and more
Apple’s upcoming iPhone XS predecessor, the iPhone XI will feature a new back glass design, mute switch, and more, according to OnLeaks in partnership with CashKaro who have shared additional details relating to the next-generation iPhone in addition to new renders of the device.
The report claims the iPhone XI will measure in at 143.9 x 71.4 x 7.8mm, which is slightly different from the iPhone XS at 143.6 x 70.9 x 7.7mm, and in addition to this Apple will reduce the thickness of the notch and bezel slightly – though the changes will supposedly be “almost indistinguishable” compared to the current generation device.
Apple is said to be planning on introducing a different shaped mute button, and will slightly reposition the microphone on the back of the device. CashKaro‘s report suggests Apple will keep the Lightning connector on the iPhone for another year, despite claims from others who suggest Apple will move to USB-C, much like the latest iPad Pro.
CashKaro‘s renders and report claim Apple will use a “new and unique” back glass design, though further details weren’t shared asides from saying the rear panel of the device will be made of a single piece of glass, including the new triple-lens camera bump:
Talking about other aspects of the leaked images, we can see that the device comes with a new and unique rear panel which is made of a single piece of glass including the camera bump.
