Apple reportedly planning new retail store in London’s Knightsbridge Estate
Apple has reportedly agreed to open a new 20,000-square-foot retail store situated in Knightsbridge, one of London’s most luxurious shopping areas, according to reports from The Evening Standard citing sources at property management firm Chelsfield.
The deal will see Apple open between high-end department stores Harrods and Harvey Nichols.
The new Knightsbridge Estate will deliver a mix of “world-class” retail accommodation boasts Chelsfield, noting the development will have room for six flagship stores, 66,000 square feet of Grade A office space, 35 rental apartments, and a rooftop restaurant.
Apple recently unveiled a full redesign to its store in London’s upmarket Covent Garden, featuring a design in-line with its updated store aesthetic, using large in-door trees, sequoia wood tables and matching wooden shelves along the walls, new seating for personal set-up and Genius Bar customers as well as a large Today at Apple display.
The new Knightsbridge store will join Apple’s five other retail stores in the city.
