Apple gives fourth-generation 1080p Apple TV a new name, ‘Apple TV HD’
Apple has quietly rebranded the fourth-generation 1080p Apple TV to ‘Apple TV HD’, updating the 1080p Apple TV set-top box that originally launched in 2015.
The new name follows after Apple unveiled an all-new Apple TV app with Apple TV Channels, and it’s highly anticipated streaming service, Apple TV+ during a media event held at its Apple Park campus on Monday.
Asides from the new name, the Apple TV HD doesn’t include any new hardware improvements, this is simply just a rename. – The newer Apple TV 4K remains unchanged and remains positioned as the go-to model for prospective buyers.
