Apple to launch new iPod touch tomorrow, according to tipster

Apple could release a new iPod touch as soon as tomorrow, claims a tipster who accurately said Apple would launch updated iPads on Monday, and new Macs on Tuesday, reports MacRumors.
An update to the iPod touch is long over due, Apple introduced the current generation model in 2015 and since then the iPod range has quietly faded into the background of Apple’s product line.
Reports have suggested a new iPod touch is in the making, with code within iOS 12.2 suggesting new hardware was in development, and reports from analysts claimed Apple plans to re-launch the iPod touch as a low-cost entry level device to access Apple’s paid subscription services, such as Apple Music.
With the unnamed tipster correctly sharing the release dates of the new 10.5-inch iPad Air, iPad mini and updated iMac it could very well be possible Apple is planning to launch a new iPod touch model tomorrow, although with all reports we have to err on the side of caution with the possibility of the information being false.
If tomorrow did see the release of a new iPod touch it would be the third day in a row Apple has released new products online ahead of its special ‘It’s Show Time’ media event on Monday, March 25 at the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park which is expected to see the introduction of Apple’s own Netflix-like streaming service.
All that is left to do now is wait… If a new iPod launches tomorrow what’s not to say Apple’s rumored AirPods 2 won’t launch alongside it?
