Apple registers new PrivacyIsImportant.com domain name
Apple has purchased the domain name PrivacyIsImportant.com, according to WHOIS records uncovered by MacRumors.
Registered on Monday, the new domain is shown as owned by Apple Inc., with the registrants address being the company’s new Cupertino Apple Park headquarters.
So far the domain ins’t pointing to an active website, so it’s unclear how Apple will use it in the future. One possibility is the company will launch a new privacy-focused marketing campaign similar to ‘There’s More to iPhone’ which expanded into France and the United Kingdom last week following an initial launch in Germany.
