Apple again rumored to be hosting March 25th event at Steve Jobs Theater
Apple is again rumored to be taking to the stage of the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park on March 25th to host a subscription-focused media event which will see Apple lift the lid on its rumored paid Apple News subscription service alongside giving us our first glimpse at its rumored pay-monthly Amazon Prime competitor.
Bloomberg’s report echos a lot for what BuzzFeed reported on Tuesday, suggesting Apple could soon introduce us to its $10 per-month premium Apple News service and paid add-on to the TV app on iOS, macOS and tvOS.
The report comes as CNBC claim Apple is working towards releasing its new Netflix-like streaming service in April or May, with HBO reported to not be part of the platform due to a dispute over data sharing and revenue splits.
The report claims Hollywood stars, including Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Garner and director JJ Abrams will be in attendance at the event.
The Cupertino, California-based technology giant is planning a March 25 event to announce both services, according to people familiar with the plan. The iPhone maker invited Hollywood stars, including Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Garner and director JJ Abrams, to attend, one of the people said.
We’ve had mixed reports as to whether Apple will unveil its next-generation AirPods 2, a new affordable iPad, the so-called “iPad mini 5”, alongside announcing availability for AirPower at the event or if the company will keep the date solely dedicated to its new software and services.
